Blockley in Gloucestershire is the home of the Northcot Master Brickmakers. We have been quarrying clay and making bricks here for nearly 100 years. During that time the Northcot brickworks has produced one of the broadest ranges of bricks available, in many variations of colour, texture, size and type. These richly-coloured bricks are made by Master Brickmakers who have hundreds of years of experience between them in the skilled art of brickmaking.

is based in Alne just North of York and has been making bricks here for over 70 years. Since 1988 when the company was established, we have spent almost £2million in building and maintaining the most up-to-date facilities for producing our individual, handmade products.

Bulmer

bricks are made from the finest London Clays, dug from our seams almost continually since Tudor times. All Bulmer bricks are hand made, using traditional methods of making, drying and are fired in a coal burning, down draught kiln. This helps to give the distinctive finish that blends so well with the originals. We are a small family business continuing the traditions of brickmaking on this site dating back to the Middle Ages. Our facings and specials can be made with almost any texture, with some 150 different sizes of facing and a range of over 5000 special shapes.

manufacture traditional Handmade Facing Bricks, Fireplace Briquettes & Kits. Handmade bricks have been produced on our site at Marks Tey since 1863 carrying on a tradition first introduced by the Romans when Colchester, our nearest town, was their capital. We use our own locally dug clay to produce most of the range of bricks, special shapes and fireplace briquettes. A locally sourced red firing clay is brought in for our new Aldeburgh range of bricks. All of our Handmade Bricks are genuinely "thrown" by hand in the traditional way.
